Welcome to Steve’s portfolio!
Steve is a research scientist at Augmenta Bioworks in Menlo Park, CA. He runs a discovery pipeline from single cell isolation through antibody and TCR sequencing.
In past roles Steve worked on cell therapy preclinical development at Senti Biosciences, long-acting parenteral GMP manufacturing and IND filing at Gilead, preclinical long-acting parenteral formulation development at Merck, and vaccine manufacturing development at Wyeth (now Pfizer).
As a recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, Steve completed his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania in the laboratory of Daniel A. Hammer, PhD in 2015. His doctoral research focused on the mechanical interactions of human immune cells with their adhesive environments, relevant to assay development and therapeutic target discovery work.
In 2009 he earned his B.S. in Bioengineering at Lehigh University where he conducted independent research on microneedle penetration mechanics and the modeling of ssDNA stretching by AFM.
Enjoy!
